Three ways to engage.

The right starting point depends on how well the issue is understood. None is a prerequisite for another: you can start directly with the work you need.

Initial assessment

Use it when the causes of a performance issue, or the priorities for improvement, are not yet clear.

What it involves We take a strategic view of the business, connecting markets and growth with commercial performance, asset utilisation, operations, people, systems and capital. We can begin an initial assessment through discussions and the reports you agree to share, without direct access to your systems.

What you receive
  • The causes of performance gaps, with the evidence behind them
  • An opportunity map, quantified where the evidence supports it
  • A prioritised roadmap with owners and measures

Scope and timing The scope and timing of the initial assessment are agreed at the outset, based on your priorities and the information available. Further support can be agreed separately to help implement the priorities.

Focused project

Use it when the issue, decision or change is already defined.

Examples
  • A pricing, bid or contract review
  • A working capital and cash conversion review
  • Management and board reporting built around the drivers of the business
  • An investment case or acquisition assessment
  • A go-to-market plan
  • An integration plan, or preparation for succession or sale
  • A review of one priority operating process
  • A business case, requirements and provider selection for a systems, automation or AI change

Scope Scope, outputs and our involvement are agreed before work starts.

Ongoing support

Use it when the need continues.

Advisory retainer A sounding board as decisions arise, challenge on plans and numbers, and continuity through a period of change.

Delivery management Project or programme management and adoption support for an agreed change, alongside your team and providers.

Scope Time and focus are agreed in advance and reviewed as needs change.

How engagements run

Your team runs the business; we work alongside it and take responsibility for the work you engage us to do.

We improve the process before automating it or applying AI. Where AI tools are appropriate, their use is considered alongside information sensitivity, accuracy, human review and the client's requirements.

Where specialist input is needed, we identify the requirement and recommend an approach. You decide whether to proceed and whom to engage.

Opportunity values are estimates to support decisions, not guarantees.
